We rolled into Lobos around 10 and almost couldn't find parking. That's the mixed blessing of having nice topside weather I suppose :P
We met up with Suzanne, Gary and Kevin in the parking lot who were planning on doing some skills and then go play with the scooters. Our plan was to do a short dive working on some skills and then putter around the north end of middle reef.
For dive 2, we planned a longer run out to the end of Cannery Pt. Wall via hole in the wall and the lone metridium. The goal was to take some hydrocoral photography and perhaps another glamour shot of Allison for the company directory :P
It was surprisingly surgy along the wall even at 80' depth. Out near the end of the wall, near the edge of visibility, we saw a monster (terminal phase) sheephead. He was too far away for me to estimate his size, but he was big. We surfaced 100 yards from the ramp or so, and hailed the scooter-taxis :P I think I'm really beginning to see the virtues of scootering, though the towing position is, well, how should I put it... intimate.
All in all, a nice day of diving. Some pictures here
