Sorry to said but the site it's not Castler Rock. It's last piedras wall. I locate this in the sonar data with Kawika many years ago and was the first one to force Phil into diving them. So Kawika and I decided it should be called Las Piedras wall as there is a large canyon on the maintains behind call Las Piedras Cayon.... Best, Bto |

![]() Hey I am just a newbie on the Big Sur dive spots.... I ask the Captain what is the name of the site and he responds, "Castle Rock." so I assume thats the name.
Maybe we need some type of international reef registry, like the star registry. ![]() |

![]() A dive site registered might be a good idea :-). I think we should extent the
Point Lobos site maps to cover the Monterey peninsula/Big Sur banks and then we can use it to register the names .... There are 3 different walls in near that area, but the ones you guys dove it's the most impresive of all. It's also very protected from the wings/swell so it's the perfect site down there.... |
