Default DUI drysuit dump valve problem

Hey Everyone,

So i recently picked up a used DUI drysuit with a low profile shoulder dump valve. I dove in it for the first time yesterday and I couldnt get it to dump any gas during the dive. On the surface it takes a lot of pressure to crack that valve and let gas out, and even then the gas was strictly regulated. I had no problem dumping gas from the BARE drysuit i used to have, so it must be the valve.

Have any of you experienced this problem? and have a solution? I didnt want to start taking the thing apart just yet without getting some insight first.

Thanks,
Jason

Default DUI drysuit dump valve problem

I have been diving DUI drysuits for quite some time and have only heard of one similar experience. The result was the valve gummed up and needed to be taken apart and service.

Taking it in and having it looked at is likely the best solution.
